Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a travel contract opportunity in Charles Town, WV. This is a great opportunity for an experienced special education professional who enjoys working in school settings while exploring a new community.
The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities while collaborating with families, educators, and related service providers to help students reach their academic and developmental goals.

Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
- Maintain compliance with school and state special education requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid West Virginia Special Education teaching certification/license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Previous school-based special education experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs preferred
