Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a preschool program for children ages 3 and 4. This full-time, contract role for the 2026–2027 school year focuses on fostering essential communication skills during a key developmental stage. Work collaboratively within a nurturing school setting and help students reach their communication milestones.
Ideal Background and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders (or relevant SLPA credential)
- Open to SLP-CCC, Clinical Fellows (CFs), SLPAs, and professionals seeking travel assignments
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain
- Experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged children, including those with a range of language and speech needs
- Understanding of evidence-based practices for early intervention and pre-academic communication skills
- Effective communicator with caregivers, families, and multidisciplinary team members
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to preschoolers in small groups and individual settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Screen, assess, and evaluate speech, language, and communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, childcare staff, and family members to support growth in classroom and home environments
- Document progress, maintain service logs, and participate in meetings as part of the educational team
- Offer guidance and support for caregivers on strategies to reinforce skills outside of therapy
