Special Education Teacher in Lancaster, OH

Qualifications:

• Valid, active Ohio certificate/license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (either Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate)
• Previous experience working with students with multiple disabilities and supporting diverse student populations
• Experience in resource, inclusion, and small group instructional settings
• Proficiency in accessing and writing IEPs, as well as collaborating with other professionals to implement student plans effectively

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to kindergarten students, adapting curriculum and lessons to diverse learning profiles
• Develop, review, and implement IEPs, ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date
• Work collaboratively with educational staff, participating in meetings and supporting team-based student progress
• Engage with families and caregivers to foster positive communication and promote student success
• Maintain compliance with state guidelines and district policies
