Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT license in the state of Connecticut
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric occupational therapy role strongly preferred
- Skilled in implementing individualized therapy plans, evaluations, and interventions for children
- Excellent interpersonal abilities to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt to diverse needs and support inclusion within the classroom setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with teachers, other therapists, and administrative staff to optimize student success and participation
- Document session notes, progress reports, and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
- Support students in developing motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive strategies to enhance educational engagement
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations for student growth
