Job Description
Launch your next chapter in the Denver area, supporting students as a school psychologist through specialized, direct work in a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity involves leave coverage, with flexible options to match your expertise and availability. You’ll engage with students ranging from elementary to middle school, depending on the assignment selected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver group and individual counseling aligned with IEP mental health goals
- Implement and document interventions for academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs
- Provide direct mental health support in the general education classroom
- Maintain thorough written documentation, including service logs, progress reports, and evaluations
- Collaborate with external service providers and school teams to ensure holistic student support
- Conduct crisis interventions, including suicide risk and threat assessments, safety planning, and child abuse reporting
- Complete comprehensive student assessments in cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive domains
- Develop and write Functional Behavioral Assessments, Behavioral Intervention Plans, and Educational Impact Statements
- Participate in collaborative meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
- Support academic and behavioral consultation, offer psychoeducation, and connect students/families to community resources
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
- Previous school-based experience required
- Proficiency in student assessment and current school psychology practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong collaborative, interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Calm approach to crisis situations and adept at managing multiple priorities
- Technological proficiency
- Prepared to complete background check and fingerprinting per district requirements
