Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Alabama K-6th teaching certification
- Previous experience or passion for working in a K-6th special education classroom
- Skilled at managing caseloads and collaborating with educational teams
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support according to each student’s IEP
- Manage and maintain records for a caseload of approximately 20 K-6th grade students
- Write and revise Individualized Education Plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, working closely with families and school staff
- Adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs
