Job Description
Step into an engaging contract opportunity to make a difference in student lives with a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position supporting diverse learners. This dynamic role is split between two settings, offering valuable experience in both high school and secondary education environments. With a balanced 1.0 FTE schedule—.6 at one location and .4 at another—you’ll manage a caseload of approximately 55 students, providing crucial support and skill-building.
Candidates with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) are strongly preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CF) are encouraged to apply. This role is particularly well-suited for those with experience or strong interest in teletherapy, as well as traditional in-person school-based SLP practice.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) for Minnesota
- SLP-CCC preferred; will consider Clinical Fellowship candidates
- Experience or familiarity with school-based caseloads and IEP processes
- Skills supporting diverse populations, including secondary students
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver both in-person and teletherapy services
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in accordance with their IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Complete evaluations, write progress reports, and help manage Special Education processes
- Deliver services across different age groups and educational settings
- Utilize effective telepractice strategies when needed
