Job Description
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting early childhood development as a Speech Language Pathologist working full-time within an Early Intervention (EI) program near Independence, OR. Begin a rewarding role in August 2026 for the 2026-27 school year. This position will focus on serving a diverse caseload of young learners, collaborating closely with a dedicated Evaluation Team and benefiting from the strong backing of the EI Team. As an itinerant SLP, you’ll travel between service locations, playing a vital part in shaping early communication and language skills for children who need it most.
Qualifications:
- Current or in-process Oregon State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience or interest in Early Intervention and early childhood populations
- Ability to work cooperatively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to travel within the assigned area as part of an itinerant team
- Positive attitude and commitment to evidence-based practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments for young children
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services in various early childhood settings
- Participate in the Evaluation Team to collaboratively determine eligibility and service needs
- Provide guidance and support to families and caregivers
- Maintain up-to-date records, compliance, and progress documentation
- Engage in EI Team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
