Qualifications & Experience:
- State certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
- Prior experience teaching in special education settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to differentiate instruction and manage diverse learning needs
- Collaborative approach to working with staff, families, and specialists
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver instruction for students with varying abilities in either self-contained or resource settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with applicable regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that nurtures each student’s social and academic development
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Track and report on student data, adapting teaching methods as necessary
