Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification, required
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to diverse learning needs
- Positive, collaborative approach to classroom management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized lesson plans for students with ASD
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success
- Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet individualized education goals
- Foster a supportive, structured, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports on student performance
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and needs
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
