Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist at a vibrant elementary setting near Barnwell, SC. This part-time opportunity offers the chance to make a lasting impact with a small, dedicated caseload of 16 students in grades 3K through 3rd. Shape communication skills and encourage student growth while enjoying a manageable schedule of just two days per week, preferably Mondays and Wednesdays.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP-CCC credential and eligibility for practice in schools
- Previous experience with pediatric populations preferred, especially in early learning environments
- Familiarity with IEP writing and implementation
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff
- Ability to develop tailored therapy plans addressing speech, language, and communication needs within school settings
Role Expectations:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student eligibility and therapy goals
- Create and implement individualized therapy plans integrating into classroom activities
- Work closely with classroom teachers and education teams to provide strategies and accommodations
- Document student progress and maintain detailed compliance records in line with school and district guidelines
