Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid LBS1 endorsement/certification required
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Strong collaborative skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Exceptional communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to create nurturing, structured environments that support student growth
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Maintain necessary records and prepare regular progress reports
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere
- Engage in IEP meetings and contribute to program planning as required
