This specialized role involves delivering vital OT services to a student who is immunocompromised, requiring a compassionate, experienced clinician with a strong commitment to best practices in school and home-based occupational therapy.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based OT, home health OT, and general OT in healthcare settings
  • Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and the ability to collaborate with school teams
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to fit both in-school and home environments
  • Up-to-date on all required vaccinations, with full COVID-19 vaccination status required
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a student-centered mindset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a one-hour occupational therapy session per week tailored to the specific needs of an immunocompromised student
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans based on student goals
  • Collaborate with educators, family members, and other specialists to ensure continuum of care
  • Accurately maintain documentation of sessions and student progress
  • Provide training and resources to families and educational teams for supportive carryover in daily routines
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols
