Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Suffolk, VA

Located near Suffolk, VA, you'll collaborate closely with educators and families to help children achieve meaningful progress in their communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or current Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate
• Previous experience in a pediatric or school setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to fostering student growth and success

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in the eligibility process
• Develop tailored treatment plans addressing language, communication, articulation, voice, and fluency needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress
• Consult and collaborate regularly with teachers, parents, and other specialists
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
• Support a positive, inclusive learning environment
