This full-time contract opportunity for a Resource Specialist (RSP) Special Education Teacher offers a welcoming environment and the chance to make a daily impact on the lives of 21 high school students receiving resource support. You’ll work alongside dedicated professionals during the school year, with a consistent schedule: 8 am-3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 8 am-3 pm on Fridays.

What you'll bring:

• Current, active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential (required)
• Experience working in high school special education or comparable settings
• Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong organizational skills to manage a caseload of 21 students with varying needs
• Collaborative spirit to partner with general education teachers, families, and support staff
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere

Your role will include:

• Providing targeted, individualized instruction and resource support to high school students with IEPs
• Leading resource support classes and IEP block sessions, with planning/prep time each day
• Developing and implementing specialized instructional strategies aligned with students’ goals
• Monitoring student progress, maintaining documentation, and contributing to IEP meetings
• Communicating regularly with parents, colleagues, and service providers
