Special Education Teacher - Levittown, PA

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by bringing your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a contract role focused on vocational skills and life skills support. Serving K-8 students with autism in a supportive school environment, you’ll help foster independence and guide learners as they build skills needed for daily living, future work, and community integration.

What we’re looking for:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with K-8 students with autism and/or significant life skills needs
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering individualized instruction and vocational training
• Strong IEP writing, progress monitoring, and data collection abilities
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for skill acquisition and positive behavior support
• Solid communication skills to partner with families, staff, and service providers
• Adaptability, teamwork, and a passion for empowering diverse learners

What you’ll do:

• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in vocational and life skills tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals to maximize student progress
• Develop and implement IEPs, including transition and vocational components
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes independence and skill generalization
• Track and report progress, adapting strategies for optimal growth
• Engage families in the educational process, providing resources and support
• Uphold all state and federal regulations for special education
