Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time, contract position covering a maternity leave from mid-October through early February. Providing vital speech and language services to students in transitional kindergarten through grade 5, you’ll work closely under the supervision of an experienced SLP through a dynamic teletherapy platform. Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license
- Minimum of three months’ prior experience as an SLPA, preferably within a school setting
- Comfort working with elementary-aged children (TK-5)
- Spanish-English bilingual skills are a plus, though not required
- Warm, adaptable communicator dedicated to student success
- Readiness to collaborate with a supervising SLP—an introductory meeting will help ensure a strong working rapport
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to assigned elementary caseload under direct supervision
- Implement intervention plans and individual goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Collect and document data to measure student progress and inform adjustments
- Participate in planning and team meetings as needed, contributing insights and updates on student development

- Communicate clearly with families and school staff to support students’ progress
