School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Cicero, Illinois

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist, supporting students during a maternity leave assignment in a vibrant and collaborative school environment. This full-time, on-site role runs from September 4, 2026, through December 11, 2026, and will serve both elementary and middle school populations. You'll work Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week, making a meaningful difference in educational outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Current, active Illinois SLP license (required)
• Demonstrated experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, educators, and families
• Comfortable working onsite full-time (this role is not open to telepractice/virtual candidates)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary and middle school students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with school teams and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Provide direct therapy services and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Consult with educators and staff to integrate speech and language goals across academic settings
