Special Education Teacher - Albion, MI

Key qualifications:

• Active Michigan Special Education Teaching License (required; please provide screenshot verification)
• Previous experience teaching in special education settings, preferably in ASD high school classrooms
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including paraprofessionals and related service providers
• Solid classroom management skills and a commitment to individualized instruction
• Strong communication abilities with students, guardians, and school staff
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and structured learning environment

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specially designed instruction to students with ASD in small classroom settings
• Creating, implementing, and adapting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collecting and analyzing student data to guide instruction and document progress
• Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
• Participating in IEP meetings, professional development, and required training sessions
• Maintaining accurate records and upholding confidentiality at all times

This opportunity features a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week during the academic year, onsite at a high school setting.
