Qualifications:
- Valid credential in Special Education with eligibility to serve as an Education Specialist for SDC
- Previous experience working with middle school students (preferred)
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and collaborate with a team
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction in a Special Day Class (SDC) for middle school students with diverse needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Assess students’ progress and adjust instruction as needed
