Occupational Therapist School Setting - Tryon, NC

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting Pre-K students in a dynamic educational environment. This role addresses a caseload of 33 young learners across multiple school sites, making flexibility and organizational skills essential. Work 1-2 days per week for an initial 12-week assignment, with the potential for extension based on district needs.

Ideal candidates bring proven experience in school-based Occupational Therapy, a strong knowledge of early childhood needs, and the ability to adapt services for itinerant delivery. This position does not involve virtual or VOCO services, ensuring that your expertise directly impacts students in person.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist licensure appropriate for school settings
• Prior experience providing OT services in educational environments
• Comfortable working with Pre-K populations, tailoring interventions to young learners
• Ability to manage and prioritize a moderate caseload across multiple locations
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers
• Reliable transportation for travel between assigned school sites

Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering direct therapy to Pre-K students
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support student participation and functional independence in the school setting
• Maintaining accurate session notes, progress documentation, and IEP reports
• Consulting with staff and families on strategies and accommodations to facilitate student success
• Flexibly scheduling and balancing visits across different sites for optimal service delivery
