Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (elementary grades)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Experience with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Understanding of both pull-out and push-in service delivery
- Skills in collaboration with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Ability to cultivate a supportive, structured learning environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
- Deliver direct instruction in both pull-out and push-in formats, fostering engagement and academic success
- Work closely with general education teachers and paraprofessionals to support effective inclusion
- Track student progress and maintain ongoing communication with families and staff
- Use creative, evidence-based practices to meet varied learning needs
This contract position follows the school calendar, running from August 24 through May 28, with an 8-hour workday plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch daily. Paraprofessional assistance is provided in accordance with student IEPs, supporting your impactful work in the classroom.
