Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Experience in K-2 (lower school) or Middle School settings preferred
  • Background in working with multiple categories of exceptional learners (Multi Cat)
  • Ability to teach in a self-contained or resource setting
  • Passion for adapting curriculum and instructional techniques to students’ needs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted instruction in a full-time self-contained lower school (K-2, multi category) setting
  • Support middle school students in multi category classrooms (resource or self-contained)
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to maximize student growth
