Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting student well-being in a dynamic school environment. We are seeking a dedicated professional trained as a School Psychologist to serve in a full-time contract role through the 2026-2027 academic year.
This opportunity spans from August 31, 2026, to June 11, 2027, with a preferred in-person schedule of five days per week (37.5 hours/week). For qualified applicants, a hybrid option is available—three days onsite and two days working from home. You’ll collaborate with educational teams and families to provide critical psychological services and support across varying grade levels, which will be assigned based on organizational need.
What you'll need:
- Active School Psychologist certification (or eligibility) in Delaware
- Experience working in educational or school-based settings
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Collaborative approach, comfortable communicating with diverse groups
- Proficiency in documenting and reporting on student progress
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychoeducational assessments for students
- Participating in IEP meetings and multi-disciplinary teams
- Delivering direct counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral consultation
- Advising and collaborating with educators and families to address academic and behavioral concerns
- Supporting the development of student interventions and progress-monitoring plans
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines in all documentation
