Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education, appropriate for elementary/3rd grade
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged students, especially grade 3
- Familiarity with both pull out and push in models for special education
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs effectively
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with general education staff, families, and support personnel
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to a 3rd grade caseload, both in and out of the general education classroom
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals to provide support based on IEP goals
- Use data-driven methods to assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team planning sessions
- Maintain detailed records and documentation as required by school procedures
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment focusing on academic and social-emotional growth
Position Details:
- 8-hour workdays plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- School year contract running from August 24 to May 28
