Step into a dynamic school-based Speech-Language Pathologist role supporting students’ communication and learning throughout the academic year. This contract position offers an engaging opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and families in a supportive environment, making a meaningful impact across multiple campuses.

This role is set for a full-time schedule—40 hours per week over approximately 175 working days—focusing on a caseload of about 45 students. You’ll primarily be serving in Lonsdale, with the possibility of additional coverage in the Montgomery area. Workshop week commences August 31, and student sessions begin September 10, giving you time to prepare and collaborate with the school team.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, organization, and report writing skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy and intervention for students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs
  • Complete assessments and create individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and progress monitoring data
  • Consult with teachers, occupational therapists, and other professionals to support student success
  • Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and resources
  • Provide support and coverage as needed within the Lonsdale and Montgomery areas
