Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist or open to Physical Therapist Assistant candidates.
- Experience or interest in educational settings working with K-12 students.
- Comfortable with an itinerant schedule, traveling between multiple sites as needed.
- Strong skills in direct therapy interventions and progress monitoring.
- Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and document findings clearly.
- Effective communicator with students, educators, and families.
- Collaborative mindset for working with multidisciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services according to student IEPs.
- Travel to assigned schools within the district to support a diverse caseload.
- Complete evaluations and re-assessments to inform individualized treatment plans.
- Manage casework including documentation, goal-setting, and compliance with school policies.
- For PTAs: deliver direct therapy services under the supervision of a PT, ensuring continuity of care.
- Maintain consistent communication with families, teachers, and school administrators regarding student progress.
