We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support a busy legal team in New Jersey. This contract position with permanent potential is well suited for someone who can manage litigation matters from intake through resolution while maintaining strong organization and follow-through. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling medical documentation, court filings, discovery coordination, and deadline tracking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Obtain and follow up on medical records, billing documents, lien information, and related file materials needed to support active legal matters.
• Review and evaluate medical and financial documentation, then prepare clear summaries of treatment history and charges for case use.
• Compile and prepare demand packages for insurance adjusters with accurate supporting documentation.
• Draft, file, and manage litigation documents in New Jersey courts, including complaints, motions, arbitration materials, and settlement conference submissions.
• Coordinate case events such as depositions, expert examinations, arbitrations, and other scheduled proceedings while ensuring proper notice is provided.
• Prepare written discovery and related litigation documents, including interrogatories, document requests, admissions, supplemental responses, and motions.
• Analyze plaintiff and defense discovery materials to identify key facts, gaps, and follow-up needs.
• Maintain case calendars, monitor deadlines independently, and keep daily tasks moving forward across multiple matters.
• Create settlement-related paperwork, including distribution statements and supporting closing documents.

• Prior experience supporting litigation matters in a paralegal capacity, with prior personal injury litigation experience being required

• NJ e-filing required

• Working knowledge of discovery procedures, civil litigation workflow, and trial preparation support.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and case management or document management platforms such as FileVine or similar systems.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to track deadlines and adapt to shifting case needs.

• Familiarity with medical terminology, injury-related documentation, and billing records is preferred.

• Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

• Sound judgment, initiative, and a positive approach to team collaboration and daily work management.
