Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in young learners’ lives as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in kindergarten through third grade. This contract role offers unparalleled opportunity to shape individualized learning plans and foster the growth of students in a resource setting from now through May 20, 2027.
Your day will run from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a manageable caseload of 25-30 students, allowing for relationship-building and personalized support. Step into a positive, collaborative school environment and help create a solid educational foundation for children discovering how they learn best.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification and valid IVP card required
- Experience with K-3 resource students preferred
- Passion for tailoring instruction to individual student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with families, support staff, and administrators
- Previous caseload management a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective IEPs tailored to the diverse strengths and needs of students
- Deliver differentiated instruction in small group or one-on-one settings, guided by best practices in special education
- Track progress, collect data, and participate in IEP meetings to ensure student growth
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive practices and student success
- Create a welcoming, structured, and nurturing classroom climate where all students can thrive
