Job Description
Make a positive impact in the lives of students as an Intervention Specialist in an engaging school environment near Lakewood, OH. This in-person, full-time contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through June 1, 2027. You’ll work on dedicated Pre-K–Kindergarten and Grades 5–8 sites, delivering instruction and support to students with a range of disabilities and learning needs.
Your expertise will help shape individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide essential academic and behavioral interventions—ensuring every student has the tools to thrive. You’ll become part of a collaborative team of educators, families, and related service providers, all working toward student growth and success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience supporting students with a diverse array of disabilities
- Ability to work effectively with both early childhood and middle school caseloads
- Skilled in developing, implementing, and tracking IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in multi-disciplinary teams
- Passionate about fostering inclusive learning environments and positive outcomes
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual learning needs
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Develop and maintain all necessary special education documentation
- Collaborate with general educators, parents, and other service providers for holistic student support
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements
