We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to support a busy legal team in Florida. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone with litigation experience who can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will contribute throughout the life of a case, from early investigation through trial preparation and settlement support.

Responsibilities:
• Support attorneys through each stage of litigation by preparing case materials, tracking progress, and helping keep matters moving efficiently.
• Research legal issues, review relevant facts, and assist with early case evaluation to help build a strong foundation for active files.
• Prepare and submit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and other court filings in accordance with applicable rules and deadlines.
• Maintain organized case records, discovery logs, and pleading indexes to ensure documentation is current, accessible, and complete.
• Coordinate schedules for hearings, depositions, and other case-related events while monitoring deadlines and managing file logistics.
• Assemble exhibits, evidence, briefs, and supporting documentation for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings.
• Assist with discovery by drafting interrogatories, organizing responses, and gathering information from records, clients, and other sources.
• Request and track medical, financial, or other relevant records and help support settlement activities, including lien-related follow-up when needed.

• At least 3 years of experience in a litigation paralegal role within a legal environment.

• Working knowledge of litigation and pre litigation procedures, discovery practices, court filings, evidentiary materials, and motion preparation.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities with strong organization and follow-through.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail and document accuracy.

• Proficiency with case management software, legal research tools, and general computer/database applications.

• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, legal documents, and discovery materials such as interrogatories.

• Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or a comparable certification in paralegal training is preferred.
