Occupational Therapist School Setting in Maumee, OH

Highlights of this position include 16 hours per week near Maumee, OH, with the option to combine with an additional 16-hour opportunity in Toledo for a fuller schedule. Applicants with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials are encouraged to apply, provided supervision is available.

Key Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or COTA with supervisory arrangements
• Previous experience in school-based therapy, ideally with knowledge of IEPs and educational settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and students
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and prioritize the diverse needs of students
• Passion for fostering independence, inclusion, and success for children with a range of developmental and physical abilities

Primary Duties:

• Deliver occupational therapy services, assessments, and interventions as outlined in student IEPs
• Work closely with teachers and families to develop strategies that enhance participation in classroom activities
• Accurately document all therapy sessions and student progress in compliance with school district guidelines
• Provide consultative support and resources to staff members to promote a therapeutic learning environment
• Travel between assigned school locations, if combining both roles
