Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication growth as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at a dynamic school near Bedford, TX. This onsite assignment runs from ASAP through May 25th, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (8:00am–4:30pm), offering a balanced approach to your workweek.
You’ll work closely with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, helping a caseload of approximately 85 students reach their communication goals. Leverage your expertise to make a meaningful difference in students’ academic and social development.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) licensure in Texas
- Prior experience supporting children in a school setting is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with supervising SLP, teachers, and school staff
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and scheduling
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy services to students as directed by the supervising SLP
- Implement activities and programs to enhance communication, language, and articulation skills
- Maintain accurate therapy notes and session documentation
- Foster an encouraging, supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and monitor student progress
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families as needed
