Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current Mississippi SPED K-12 teaching license required
• Experience working as a special education teacher in elementary or middle settings preferred

• Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction to a self-contained class of five students, adapting lessons as necessary
• Oversee and collaborate daily with two classroom teaching assistants

• Track progress, develop IEP goals, and maintain thorough documentation
• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages learning and positive behavior
• Liaise regularly with school staff and parents to support student success
