Physical Therapist - School Setting in Orange, NJ

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites in a vibrant community near Orange, NJ. This full-time role, scheduled for 35 hours weekly from 8:30AM to 3:15PM, gives you the chance to work district-wide from September 4, 2026, through June 25, 2027. As a skilled physical therapist with school-based experience, you’ll help foster student success throughout the academic year.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Hold an active and valid Physical Therapy license in New Jersey
• Previous experience providing PT services in K-12 educational settings is highly valued
• Familiarity with IEPs, therapy documentation, and collaboration within school teams is strongly preferred
• Must be able to complete New Jersey’s onboarding requirements: TB test, physical exam, and fingerprinting (for the agency and district)
• Comfortable with virtual interview processes (Zoom)
• Positive, adaptable, and committed to serving diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services across multiple schools within the district, supporting students from kindergarten through high school
• Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and document progress in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student participation and inclusion
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed to provide comprehensive care
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations
