Job Description
Step into an impactful opportunity supporting K-8 students with a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position at a single location near Augusta, ME. This contract role runs from August 26th, 2026, through June 12th, 2027, offering a rewarding chance to work with a diverse caseload in a welcoming school environment.
In this setting, you'll manage a caseload of 30-50 students, addressing a variety of communication and language needs across kindergarten through eighth grade. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM, for a total of 37.5 hours per week. Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current SLP license for the state of Maine, or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Previous school-based experience working with K-8th grade students is highly valued
- Familiarity with a broad range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside teachers and support staff
- Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluations, diagnostics, and direct therapy to students
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engaging families and educators
- Design individualized treatment plans and deliver engaging services
- Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and ongoing professional development
