A rewarding opportunity is available for a certified School Psychologist seeking a full-time, on-site contract role supporting students in a dynamic educational setting near Waterbury, CT. With a manageable caseload and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play a vital role in helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification (070)
  • Experience conducting initial evaluations and triennial evaluations
  • Proficient with individual and group counseling modalities
  • Understanding of the Planning and Placement Team (PPT) process
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Prior experience in a school environment preferred

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, including initial and triennial evaluations
  • Deliver individual and small group counseling to support students’ social-emotional needs
  • Facilitate PPT meetings, contributing professional insight and recommendations
  • Collaborate with educators and families to design and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Maintain concise, accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulations
  • Participate in school initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere
  • Offer consultation services as needed to staff and administration

With a schedule from 8:45 am to 3:35 pm, 35 hours per week, and a targeted small caseload, this position allows you to focus on meaningful connections and impactful services for students.
