Customer Service Rep / Parts Counter - Propane

Owens Energy is hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative to join our team in Show Low

This is a hands-on, front-line role. You'll be the face of our company at the counter, on the phone, and at the bottle dock. If you like helping people solve real problems, working with your hands, and learning a trade that isn't going away, this is a good fit.

What you'll do

• Help customers by phone, email, and in person with orders, billing questions, service scheduling, and account setup
• Sell and fit propane parts and accessories - hoses, regulators, tanks, adapters, fittings, valves, gauges, and more - matching the right part to the customer's application
• Build custom hose assemblies to customer specifications, then test, label, and tag each one before it goes out the door
• Fill customer cylinders at our bottle dock once trained and certified, including the required pre-fill inspection on every container
• Process payments, keep inventory stocked and organized, and track special orders
• Educate customers on safe propane handling, storage, and transport

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Solid communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude
• Basic mechanical aptitude - comfortable with hand tools and reading a parts diagram
• Strong attention to detail, especially when following safety procedures
• Comfortable on a computer and willing to learn our systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move propane cylinders throughout the day

Nice to have, but we'll train the right person

• Experience in retail parts, hardware, plumbing, HVAC, or a similar counter role
• Previous propane experience or existing CETP certification
• Bilingual English/Spanish

A note on the work environment: You'll spend the majority of your time indoors at the counter and on the phone. The bottle dock is a cross-training role - you'd step out to cover lunches, breaks, or a sick day, so expect some time outside in the sun, wind, or cold, and some regular lifting and moving of cylinders.
