Position Overview
Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated, hands-on Team Leader to guide daily manufacturing operations and drive crew success. Serving as the primary point of contact on the production floor, you will lead, coach, and support your team while maintaining high safety, quality, and output standards.
This is a dynamic role (60–80% hands-on floor oversight paired with administrative duties) perfect for an experienced senior operator or production leader looking to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Oversight: Lead daily crew activities, assign tasks, review schedules, and adjust staffing resources to consistently achieve production targets.
Floor Coaching & Development: Provide on-the-floor training, mentoring, and performance feedback to develop team skills and cultivate strong workplace morale.
Workflow & Process Improvement: Monitor cycle times, downtime, scrap rates, and workflow bottlenecks. Implement continuous improvement initiatives and waste-reduction solutions.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures. Proactively identify hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
Quality Assurance: Verify completed quality checks, ensure adherence to standard work instructions, scan finished products, and complete accurate production logs.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve operational issues and maintain seamless production flow.
Communication & Recordkeeping: Lead shift start-up and hand-off meetings. Maintain detailed records regarding attendance, training, quality metrics, and safety incidents.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience in a leadership, supervisory, or senior operator role within a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical certificates or leadership training is a strong plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, scanner operations, and basic computer navigation.
Core Competencies:
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, quality standards, and root-cause problem-solving.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and support team members effectively.
Schedule Flexibility:
Ability to work assigned shifts, including mandatory overtime as required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Activity Level: Ability to stand, stoop, twist, bend, climb, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods (8 to 12 hours).
Lifting Ability: Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Environment:
Comfortable working around hot molds, presses, cranes, and industrial equipment in tight spaces.
