Production Supervisor 1st Shift
Job Description
Senior Production Supervisor
Rinehart 3D — Janesville Wisconsin Full-time 1st shift 5:00am -3:15pm
About the role
Rinehart 3D builds injection-molded foam 3D archery targets. Our plant runs two shifts
with roughly 32 operators, and the work is hands-on: molds, cure times, changeovers,
and a build schedule that swings hard with archery season.
We’re looking for a Senior Production Supervisor who can run the floor day to day —
keep the schedule moving, keep people supported, and find the minutes and material
we’re losing without anyone noticing. You’ll be the person the floor looks to when
something breaks, runs short, or doesn’t look right.
This is not a desk job. You’ll spend most of your day on the production floor.
What you’ll do
- Run daily production to the schedule — molding, trim, assembly, and shipping handoffs.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and operators across both shifts.
- Manage staffing, shift coverage, overtime, and how operators are matched to work.
- Dig into production data to find lost cycles, scrap, rework, and bottlenecks — then
- fix them.
- Troubleshoot problems in the moment: downtime, mold issues, material shortages,
- quality holds.
- Work directly with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Production Planning so the
- plan and the floor stay in sync.
- Own accurate production reporting — counts, efficiency, downtime, and scrap.
- Drive practical continuous improvement. We care about changes that hold, not
- binders.
- Enforce safety and company policy consistently, without exception.
- Support budget planning and cost reduction.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years in manufacturing or production, with 5+ years supervising or leading a
- production team.
- Solid working knowledge of production processes, quality basics, and safety
- requirements.
- Comfortable with numbers — you can read a production report and tell what it’s
- actually saying.
- Proficient with ERP systems and Excel.
- Able to hold people accountable and keep their respect at the same time.
- Willing to flex hours and shifts when production demands it.
No degree required. If you’ve run a floor well, we want to talk.
Nice to have
- Injection molding, foam, or other process-driven manufacturing experience.
- Lean or continuous improvement experience — formal certification is a plus, not a
- requirement.
- Experience across more than one shift.
- Experience with KPI tracking and production analytics.
Physical requirements
Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift in a manufacturing
environment. Extended hours and shift flexibility required during peak production.

Rinehart 3D is an equal opportunity employer.
As a family-owned and operated company, we are thankful for the support and friendships that continue to grow over the years. We are looking forward to moving forward with even more innovative products, shooting thrills, and arrow stopping value. As our family grows, so does our commitment to providing premium quality American made products.
The concept behind Rinehart Target’s industry-leading, solid self-healing foam began in 1997 when John Rinehart, the company’s founder, began using conventional archery targets. Disappointed in the durability and performance of what was available on the market, John looked elsewhere for something better. He began working with foam and came up with the compound that would become Rinehart’s trademarked solid self-healing foam.
In 1999, John founded Rinehart Targets and went on to create the first patented locking inserts for Rinehart’s 3D targets, extending the life and enjoyment of the company’s popular designs. The first targets, the iconic Velociraptor, was quickly followed by a myriad of other incredibly life-like and unique designed targets. The target line continues to expand to this day with new and unique targets – from the trophy 30 Point Buck and Hogzilla targets to the fun Mosquito and Frog targets.
In 2003 the Rinehart R-100 Archery Tournament was born out of a desire to introduce children to archery and provide fun for the whole family. These events give hunting clubs and other groups the chance to test their skills on 3D targets ranging from skunks to life-size giraffes and elephants.
Another milestone in the company’s history was in 2005 when John stepped down, turning the reins of his industry-leading company over to his daughter Barbara (Rinehart) McGovern and her husband, James McGovern. Rinehart Targets went on to launch its first-ever Dealer Program which highlighted the archery industry’s only target with a full-year guarantee – the 18-1.
In 2013 Rinehart Targets expanded its retail target line to include our first bag target, the Rhino Bag. The start of 2016 saw the introduction of the new Doloma Decoy line to Rinehart Target’s already diverse line-up of products. The company continues to be more successful than ever and remains committed to developing the highest quality and most innovative products on the market.
