Job Description
The Staff Management | SMX team in Lafayette, IN, is hiring Automotive Porters and Assembly Associates! We are looking for associates who can perform hands-on work to support the efficient movement, processing, and customization of vehicles. All associates must have a valid driver's license and a clean MVR.
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6 am- 2:30 pm
- 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:30 pm-1 pm Immediate openings for 2nd shift
- Shift schedule is subject to change. While currently a 5-day workweek, both departments may potentially change to a 4x10 schedule.

Job Responsibilities
- Within the team, associates will specialize as Vehicle Processors, Rail Processors, Ramp Installers, Drivers, Heavy Accessories Installers, and Light Accessory Installers.
- Team members will be responsible for tasks such as inspecting and preparing vehicles for shipment, installing accessories ranging from basic interior features to large external components, setting up ramps and bridge plates for safe vehicle movement, loading vehicles onto railcars, and transporting vehicles within terminal grounds.
- Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments and varying weather conditions.
- All positions require a valid driver's license, a clean MVR, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow strict safety protocols.
- The pay range for these roles is $17 to $19.50 per hour, depending on experience and position.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $17.00 - $19.50 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
