We currently have an opening in Palm Beach, FL 33480 for a Form Concrete Carpenter building shell home structures from concrete and concrete blocks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding construction drawings to determine form dimensions and specifications.
• Accurately measuring and cutting wood, plywood, or metal to create the necessary form components.
• Constructing the forms by joining materials with nails, screws, bolts, or other fasteners.
• Positioning the assembled forms on the construction site and securing them with bracing to withstand the weight and pressure of wet concrete.
• Placing reinforcing steel (rebar) within the forms to strengthen the concrete structure.
• Dismantling the forms after the concrete has hardened and ensuring proper cleanup.
• Producing concrete blocks to the specific size and shape needed per blueprint requirements.
• Following established safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Proficiently using tools such as saws, drills, hammers, and other tools to perform tasks.
• Collaborating with other construction workers, including concrete finishers and site supervisors.

Essential Skills:

• Carpentry skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials.
• Ability to read blueprints: Understanding construction drawings and specifications.
• Problem-solving skills: Identifying and resolving issues related to form construction and installation.
• Physical stamina: Ability to perform manual labor and handle heavy materials, lifting up to 50lbs and standing 8-10 hours per day while working outside in weather conditions.
• Safety awareness: Following safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment, including but not limited to fall hazard protection requirements.
• Heights: Must be able to work from heights as required by job.
