Full Charge Bookkeeper / Senior Accounting Professional (Part-Time)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization. This hands-on role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, payroll oversight, account reconciliations, and multi-state sales and use tax compliance. This position also provides cross-trained backup support for key accounting and administrative functions, making reliability, organization, and sound judgment essential.
Schedule
- Part-time (20–30 hours per week)
- Monday–Friday
- Flexible schedule within normal business hours
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, fixed assets, payroll oversight, and cash management
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate accounting records
- Prepare management reports and support budgeting and forecasting
- Manage multi-state sales and use tax registrations, filings, payments, and compliance
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, banks, and regulatory agencies
- Maintain internal controls and recommend process improvements
- Cross-train as backup support for key accounting and administrative functions
Preferred Experience
- Budgeting and forecasting

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred
- Five or more years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting and financial statement preparation
- Experience with month-end and year-end close
- Experience with multi-state sales and use tax compliance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently
- High level of accuracy, professionalism, and integrity
