Wait Staff Server

We are seeking a Wait Staff Server to become an integral part of our team! You will take orders and serve food to patrons at the dining establishment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve food and beverages to guests
• Explain to guests about menu items
• Clean and prepare the dining areas
• Greet and make all guests feel welcome at the restaurant
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion
• Perform other restaurant duties as assigned
• Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, daily specials, and beverage selections.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Explain Italian dishes, ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
• Recommend appetizers, entrées, desserts, wines, and other beverages.
• Serve meals promptly and check on guests throughout their dining experience.
• Coordinate closely with kitchen, bar, and support staff to ensure accurate and timely service.
• Handle guest questions or concerns professionally and courteously.
• Process cash and credit-card payments accurately.
• Prepare and reset tables and maintain clean, organized service areas.
• Complete opening, closing, and assigned side-work duties.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol-service requirements.
• Support coworkers during busy periods and contribute to a positive, family-oriented workplace.
• Qualifications
• Previous restaurant or customer-service experience preferred.
• Friendly, professional, and reliable demeanor.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of Italian food and wine is helpful but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely carry trays or plates.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
