Senior Landscaper
Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Landscape Maintenance Technician to join a professional team servicing high-end residential and commercial properties throughout the Mount Pleasant area.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in the details of landscape maintenance and understands what it takes to keep premium properties looking their best throughout the year. You should be comfortable working with ornamental plants, shrubs, turf, trees, beds, and seasonal landscapes—not simply mowing lawns.
The right candidate will have strong horticultural awareness, know how to properly maintain a variety of plant material, and understand that clean edges, proper pruning, healthy plants, and attention to detail make the difference on high-end properties.
What You’ll Do
- Perform detailed landscape maintenance on high-end residential and commercial properties
- Maintain turf, ornamental beds, shrubs, trees, palms, and other landscape plant material
- Mow, edge, trim, prune, blow, weed, and maintain properties to a high standard
- Perform detailed pruning and shaping of shrubs, hedges, ornamental plants, and small trees
- Monitor plant and turf health and identify signs of disease, pests, stress, or irrigation issues
- Maintain planting beds through weeding, cultivation, mulching, and seasonal cleanup
- Perform seasonal landscape maintenance including cutbacks, bed preparation, planting, and enhancements
- Operate and properly maintain zero-turn mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other landscape equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional-looking job sites
- Communicate issues with plants, irrigation, turf, or property conditions to management
- Help maintain consistent quality standards across every property
- Assist with training and guiding less-experienced crew members when needed
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of professional landscape maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance and horticultural practices
- Experience maintaining high-end residential, commercial, HOA, resort, or estate properties
- Strong knowledge of pruning, trimming, bed maintenance, turf care, and seasonal landscape needs
- Ability to recognize common plant health issues, pests, disease, and environmental stress
- Skilled with professional landscaping equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the finished product
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors in South Carolina weather
- Ability to maintain a high level of quality and consistency throughout the workday
Preferred / Bonus Experience
- Horticulture, nursery, or formal plant-care experience
- Experience maintaining luxury residential properties or high-end commercial landscapes
- Irrigation knowledge and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of ornamental plants, palms, shrubs, trees, and seasonal color
- Experience with fertilizer or plant health programs
- Pesticide or applicator certification
- Experience leading or mentoring maintenance crew members
- Ability to identify and recommend improvements to landscape appearance and plant health
Why Join Us?
- $18–$25+ per hour based on experience
- Full-time, steady work
- Professional landscape maintenance team
- Work on high-end properties where quality matters
- Opportunity to grow into a Lead Technician or Maintenance Crew Leader role
- Work environment focused on craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail
If you’re an experienced landscape maintenance professional who knows the difference between simply maintaining a property and keeping a high-end landscape looking exceptional, we want to hear from you. Apply today.
