PrideStaff is recruiting on behalf of a leading non-profit organization in West Palm Beach, seeking a driven Medicaid specialist. In this role, you will act as a vital advocate and navigator—assessing consumer needs, guiding individuals through the Medicaid application process, and connecting residents with life-changing community resources and support programs.

What You'll Do

1. Advocate & Guide

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for individuals needing access to critical community assistance and long-term care resources.
  • Guide consumers and families step-by-step through the entire Medicaid eligibility and enrollment lifecycle until coverage is active.
  • Assist clients in obtaining necessary medical documentation and navigating eligibility applications seamlessly.

2. Assess Needs & Coordinate Care

  • Conduct official program screenings and assessments to prioritize service eligibility and uncover vital client needs.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies and state stakeholders (such as DCF) to ensure transparent, seamless access to care.
  • Empower consumers by clearly explaining program policies, requirements, and next steps with clarity and deep empathy.

3. Workflow Management & Compliance

  • Effectively track application progress, maintain accurate digital records, and ensure all client profiles meet compliance and confidentiality standards.
  • Maintain responsive, 48-hour standards for all client communications and deliver exceptional customer service across all interactions.

What You Bring to the Table

Education & Experience (Must meet one of the following):

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university OR
  • Associate’s Degree + minimum of 1 year of experience as a caseworker, case manager, intake specialist, or in a human services role OR
  • High School Diploma / GED + minimum of 2 years of experience as a caseworker, case manager, intake specialist, or in a related human services position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Compassionate Communicator: Exceptional active listening skills with the ability to maintain calmness, empathy, and professionalism in high-touch situations.
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized: Strong time management skills with a proven track record of managing multi-step workflows and meeting deadline goals.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), data management software, and web-based research tools. (Paid specialized state training will be provided to the hired candidate!)
  • Regulatory Aptitude: Ability to read, interpret, and apply state procedures, program rules, and strict privacy regulations.
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish: Ability to read and speak English and Spanish fluently.
