Job Description

Seeking an experienced, detail-driven Automotive Window Tint Installer who wants more than a tint-only position. This is an opportunity to bring strong tinting skills to a premium automotive protection studio while learning and developing as a Paint Protection Film (PPF) installer.

We serve discerning clients and some of the finest vehicles in Westchester County and the greater New York area. As the county’s only certified Ceramic Pro dealer, our work must consistently meet a high standard of precision, cleanliness, professionalism, and care.

What You’ll Do

  • Professionally install automotive window tint on a wide variety of vehicles, producing clean, contamination-free, bubble-free finishes.
  • Prepare, clean, inspect, and protect vehicles before, during, and after installation.
  • Remove and reinstall trim panels, door panels, seals, or components as needed while protecting the vehicle from damage.
  • Learn PPF installation through hands-on training, beginning with vehicle prep, plotter work, pattern handling, panel installation, finishing, and quality control.
  • Assist senior PPF installers with full-front packages, partial coverage, full vehicle applications, and specialty protection projects.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and professional work bay, tools, materials, and vehicle staging area.
  • Inspect completed work carefully and correct imperfections before a vehicle is delivered.
  • Handle customer vehicles responsibly, including luxury, performance, collector, and exotic vehicles.
  • Support the team wherever needed, including detailing, final vehicle prep, shop organization, and occasional customer-facing interaction.

Professional automotive film roles commonly require precise tint installation, vehicle inspection, safe tool use, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven professional experience installing automotive window tint; 2+ years is preferred.
  • Ability to shrink, cut, install, and finish tint cleanly on side windows, rear glass, windshields, and difficult vehicle shapes.
  • A genuine interest in learning PPF—not simply “helping when needed,” but building a long-term second trade.
  • High attention to detail, patience, steady hands, and pride in workmanship.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and a positive, coachable attitude.
  • Ability to accept feedback, follow established procedures, and improve through repetition and training.
  • Professional appearance, good hygiene, respectful communication, and the maturity to represent a high-end brand.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work with hands for extended periods; ability to safely move materials and equipment as required.

Window-tint and PPF positions regularly emphasize manual dexterity, safe work habits, attention to detail, reliable attendance, and willingness to learn and grow within the company.indeed+1

Ideal Candidate

You are already confident behind a tint board and can produce work you are proud to put your name on. You understand that a premium installation is not just about getting film on glass—it is about cleanliness, fitment, finish, vehicle care, and the customer’s final impression.

You are motivated to become a well-rounded automotive protection professional with the potential to grow into a skilled PPF installer, senior technician, or production leader over time. PPF training typically develops through supervised, hands-on work under experienced installers after foundational instruction.atddetailingnc+1
