Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist

Job Description-

Location: Pico Rivera

1st Shift: 8am-5pm

Pay Rate: $23-$30/hr

Must be available to work weekends and possible OT

• Monitor customer accounts and accounts receivable aging reports.
• Follow up with customers regarding current and past-due invoices.
• Contact customers by phone, email, and other communication methods to secure payment.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities, customer communications, and payment commitments.
• Investigate and resolve customer account discrepancies and billing disputes.
• Apply customer payments accurately and reconcile account balances.
• Research short payments, deductions, credits, and unapplied cash.
• Review customer aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on account risk, balance, and aging.
• Establish and monitor payment arrangements when appropriate.
• Escalate seriously delinquent or disputed accounts according to company procedures.
• Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Accounting to resolve issues preventing payment.
• Prepare and distribute account statements, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with credit reviews and customer account setup when needed.
• Maintain accurate customer account information in the ERP/accounting system.
• Prepare AR aging, collections, and cash-flow reports for management.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support the company's efforts to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve cash collections.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and financial information.
