MECHANCIC-HEAVY & MEDIUM DUTY TRUCK MECHANIC

POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy & Medium Duty Truck Mechanic to join our geotechnical construction team. This role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of trucks and support equipment used in ground improvement and deep foundation operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy- and medium-duty trucks (diesel and gas)
• Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and DOT compliance checks
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Maintain accurate service logs and repair records
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards
• Assist with field repairs and occasional on-site service calls
• Keep shop and service trucks clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Communicate equipment status and repair timelines with supervisors and operations teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience working on heavy and/or medium-duty trucks
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret diagnostic codes and service manuals
• Experience with DOT inspections and compliance preferred
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a bonus)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Shop based with occasional field service work
• Exposure to outdoor conditions and construction job sites
• Fast paced environment supporting active construction operations
