Job Description
Role: Electromechanical Technician
Location: Redmond, WA
Employment Type: 13 week W2 Contract to Hire (must be local to Redmond or open to relocating there)
Shift: Day - 5x10s, start time is flexible between 5-9am
Per Diem: $125/daily but must be willing to relocate to Redmond if outside area
Hours: 50/week
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Machine Builder, or similar role.
- Experience working with both mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
- Experience with low- and high-voltage electrical wiring and termination.
- Experience wiring motors, control circuits, and industrial electrical components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on gears, belt-driven systems, drive trains, bearings, and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience using common hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to safely move and position machinery using rigging equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and integrate custom production equipment, tooling, and automated machinery.
- Perform electrical wiring, cable routing, and component installation for both low- and high-voltage systems.
- Terminate electrical connections and wire motors, control panels, sensors, and other electrical components.
- Build and assemble mechanical systems including gearboxes, belt drives, drive trains, shafts, bearings, and structural assemblies.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, engineering drawings, and assembly documentation.
- Install, align, level, and commission manufacturing equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Assist with relocating, installing, and modifying production equipment and manufacturing lines.
- Perform precision mechanical alignment and equipment setup using measuring and alignment tools.
- Support fabrication activities including basic welding, machining, and equipment modifications as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering to identify improvements and resolve build or installation issues.
- Participate in the construction of complete manufacturing systems, from individual tools to fully integrated production lines.
- Follow all safety procedures while operating tools, machinery, and rigging equipment.
